Two suspects arrested in connection with Carphone Warehouse and Onyx Goldsmiths' attack

FOUR people have been arrested following an attempted armed robbery at Trowell Post Office.

The three men, aged 43, 28 and 24, and a 38-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident, which happened in Stapleford Road, Trowell, at around 9.20am on Friday (4 January 2013).

They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

A man entered the Post Office and demanded cash. He threatened staff with a knife but fled empty-handed. No one was injured.

The 43-year-old and 28-year-old suspects have also been arrested in relation to three other incidents in Beeston. 

The Carphone Warehouse, in Queen's Road, was targeted by a masked man at 7pm on Monday 10 December 2012. He threatened staff with a knife and fled with a laptop and iPhone. No one was injured. 

Staff were subjected to a further attack by two masked men at 9.30am on Wednesday 2 January 2013. A security guard received minor injuries in the incident, but nothing was stolen.

Two masked men attacked the window of Onyx Goldsmiths, in High Road, at 9.30am on Monday 31 December 2012. They fled empty-handed when the shutter system was activated. No one was injured.
