We knew it was coming but did we really expect to see so much?! After watching it snow all afternoon and evening yesterday my husband and I decided that we would get up early and head to Wollaton Park for an early morning walk. Usually the snow comes when we have to go to work so this time we were determined to get out in it and enjoy it!

Beeston was covered in a blanket of snow as we drove to Wollaton Park and so was Wollaton. The Park was so beautiful and peaceful when we arrived. Untouched snow just waiting to be trod on. It glisten and sparkled in the early morning light, it was Christmas card perfect. There were some parents and children out already with proper sledges and bits of plastic to sleigh down the hills. It took us about two hours to walk around the park and lake as we stopped and tried to take in the magic which snow brings. We headed to the cafe for cake and hot chocolate to warm us up before the short journey home. By the time we were leaving the Park was so full! People were queuing to get a parking space! I know we moan and groan about the snow but it does bring an enchantment which is hard to ignore.
