TWO masked men have tried to rob a mobile phone shop in Beeston.
It happened at around 9.30am today at the Carphone Warehouse in Queen's Road.
The two men entered the shop and when staff retreated to a rear store room they attacked the door in a bid to gain access.
They failed and punched a security guard to the body, before fleeing empty-handed.
No one else was injured.
They arrived from the direction of the Gala Bingo and left the same way.
Both suspects are white. One was wearing a black face covering and a hooded beige jacket, the other had dark eyes and was wearing a red hat, and a black, white and grey face covering.
