All local residents are welcome at the public information exhibitions in Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire this week to find out more about work to widen the A453 between the M1 Junction 24 and the A52 Nottingham Ring Road.
The exhibitions will be held at Clifton Leisure Centre, Southchurch Drive, Clifton, NG11 8AB, on Friday 11 January from 2pm to 8pm and on Saturday 12 January from 10am to 4pm. The exhibition will then move to Kegworth Whitehouse Hotel, Packington Hill, Kegworth, DE74 2DF, on Sunday January 13 from 10am to 4.30pm.
The Highways Agency project team, designers White Young Green and contractors Laing O'Rourke will be on hand to answer questions and explain the scheme, which is designed to cut congestion, promote economic growth and improve journey times and safety.
Main construction work is due to start this week.
Jonathon Pizzey, Highways Agency project manager said:
"These public exhibitions will be a chance for residents, businesses and road-users to find out more about the benefits the scheme will bring and what they can expect during construction. We welcome the opportunity to speak to them directly and answer any questions they may have."
